The Island Health Pavilion was built for Southeast Georgia Regional Health Care To make access to health care much more convenient to the people of St. Simons and Sea Island. Upon entering the 6,000 square foot building, a welcoming waiting room leads directly to the receptionist desk. The floor plan is a “race track” design leading directly to exam rooms around the perimeter of the building. The nurse work stations are located at opposite corners of the building. Support spaces such as the Business Office, file storage, X-Ray room and Lab are located within the core of the building. The building was designed and situated on the site to accommodate a future addition which would double the current size.
