Why should I hire an architect? After all, I am only building a house. All that extra money spent in design fees sure would go a long way toward an upgrade in the kitchen or maybe wood floors in the living room. Perhaps I should just hire a builder, buy some plans for a few thousand dollars and get a draftsman to make a few changes. Good idea!

But what if when I was all done I didn't actually like what I had created? This house is going to be my home and will probably be one of the most—if not THE most—expensive single purchase I might make. If I make the wrong decisions, I might spend all of my money and hate my new home. Is the potential of an upgraded kitchen or wood floors worth the risk that one of the largest financial investments of my lifetime could become a huge financial blunder?

I don't think so! I have decided to hire an architect to lead the way. And not just any architect, but the very best one I can find. After all, I only plan to do this once!

The value of good design is immeasurable. It makes you feel good, it makes you proud and most of all it makes sound financial sense. Hire an architect and be proud of what you create together.
